Inside agricultural supply chains in Kenya and South Africa

Kenya and South Africa sit behind some of the agricultural supply chains that are important to European and global buyers – from Kenyan horticulture and floriculture to South African fresh produce. For the brands that source from these markets and the investors with exposure to them, labour and human rights risk is under growing scrutiny, and the usual audit-cycle view no longer tells the whole story.

This webinar brings together our teams working in Kenya and South Africa, alongside an investor perspective on the same markets. The conversation covers what buyers and investors now expect of the sector and why those expectations are rising, along with what that looks like in practice in each market. You’ll hear from people who work with these supply chains on what they are seeing on the ground, and what is now being asked of suppliers.

What you'll take away

• Where labour and human rights risk is concentrating in Kenyan and South African agriculture, and why
• How buyer and investor expectations are changing, and what that asks of suppliers
• Where on-the-ground insight and higher-level data together change the picture

Who should attend: Responsible sourcing, procurement, compliance and sustainability leaders at brands and retailers, and investment and ESG teams with exposure to the region.
